Family Nature Club- End of Season Hullabaloo! Riveredge Nature Center

Finish off our year of Family Nature Club explorations by celebrating at Riveredge with a family overnight. We’ll camp out under the stars at Woodland Harvest, cook dinner over the fire, swim, fish, and explore until nightfall. When the stars are out, we’ll enjoy smores over the campfire and embark on a family night hike. In the morning- we’ll prepare breakfast over the campfire before packing up. Families are encouraged to bring their own tents if possible. Dinner, breakfast and all the fun are included! Pre-registration Required!

More details will be sent to families upon registration- feel free to call with questions!

RSVP via google form: HERE!

Dates: Friday, June 16, 5:00pm  – Saturday June 17, 9:00am

Family Camping Tips for a Memorable Experience:

  • Please bring camp chair to sit in, a flash light for the evening, and a water bottle to stay hydrated.
  • Pack layers! Watch weather forecast ahead of time. If weather conditions are favorable, we’ll go for a dip in Heron Pond, so be sure to pack a swim suit. Life-jackets, flotation devices, fishing poles,  & inflatables are welcome!
  • Try to unplug! Capturing moments with your phone can certainly be fun, but we encourage everyone to balance photo fun with being present and in the moment of nature play and family playtime.
  • Please share any food allergies that may exist within your family at the time of registering. Extreme allergies may require families to pack meal substitutes.

What’s a Family Nature Club?

Family Nature Clubs provide scheduled family time during the week, where members can work and play together outside without distractions.Family Nature Club gatherings will take place monthly from September to June, and our club leaders take charge of all the organizing of trips and activities and allow families to focus on bonding, instead of planning. Not only will you connect as a family, but you’ll meet other families with similar values and interests and experience natural areas and activities throughout your community that you can return to again and again!

FREE family fun! We know finding time to get outside can be tough and that figuring out what to do once outside can be even tougher. That’s why the Riveredge Nature Center and Bookworm Gardens started a FREE Family Nature Club in Sheboygan County!
